ABOUT SUPPORT ELDERLY FOUNDATION

Who We Are

Dedicated to restoring dignity, improving wellbeing, and creating opportunities for older persons to live healthy, independent, and fulfilling lives.

OUR STORY

Support Elderly Foundation is a registered non-profit organization committed to improving the quality of life of older persons across Uganda. Founded on the belief that every older person deserves dignity, care, and respect, the Foundation works to address the social, economic, and health challenges that often affect ageing populations.

Across many communities, older persons face poverty, limited access to healthcare, food insecurity, social isolation, and neglect. These challenges inspired the creation of Support Elderly Foundation—to provide practical, compassionate, and sustainable solutions that empower older persons to live healthier, safer, and more fulfilling lives.

Working hand in hand with communities, volunteers, development partners, and local leaders, we implement programmes that restore hope, strengthen resilience, and promote active ageing.

Today, our work continues to transform lives through healthcare, nutrition, advocacy, livelihood support, and community partnerships that ensure no older person is left behind.

Because Every Older Person Matters

Uganda’s older population continues to grow, yet many older persons remain vulnerable due to poverty, illness, neglect, and limited access to essential services. Support Elderly Foundation exists to bridge these gaps by providing integrated support that improves health, strengthens families, promotes inclusion, and restores dignity. We believe ageing should be celebrated—not endured.
